Happy PeriAnesthesia Nurses Awareness Week to all perianesthesia nurses!

PANAW runs February 2nd to the 8th celebrating nurses working in preanesthesia units, PACU or Phase II, ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, and pain management. Nurses working in these areas are dedicated to patients and their families. They are passionate about what they do as nurses. Each year the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses recognizes and honors perianesthesia nurses during this week. This week gives an opportunity to educate our patients and families on what we do each day in keeping them safe during their procedure or surgery. It’s our week to recognize each other with education, special treats or a meal. Whatever your unit has planned, ILSPAN wants to know how you celebrated. Send in your pictures with a short description for an opportunity to win an award for your unit. Entries are due by February 28th and submit to vicepresident@ilspan.org. The ILSPAN Board of Directors want to thank you for your dedication, skills and compassion given to each patient you encounter. Have a great week.
