Happy Nurse’s Week to ILSPAN Perianesthesia Nurses!
In 1982, President Ronald Reagan declared May 6th as National Recognition Day for Nurses. The American Nurses Association expanded the recognition from a day to a week in 1990, ending the celebratory week on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.
Thank you for all you do for patients and their families each and every day. Nursing has its challenges, but nurses everywhere rise above those difficulties. Last week, 1200+ perianesthesia nurses across the country came together in Dallas to learn, network and grow in their profession at the annual national conference. We have returned home on a huge high with knowledge to continue our passion of delivering safe patient care.
Have a great week celebrating YOU!
